Seasonal RIDE nets mixed bag of charges

The Nottawasaga OPP's annual RIDE program, which operated between Dec. 17-31, ended with 66 spot checks, netting five impaired drivers, two charges of Over 80mgs and four 3-day suspensions for registering in the Warn range, according to the wrap-up press release.

One driver who blew in the warn range for a second time was charged and this resulted in a 7-day suspension for that driver.

The RIDE checks led to three liquor and four drug seizures from vehicles, and seven drivers charged with Driving while under suspension. They were charged and their vehicles were impounded.
