Alliston man suffers serious injuries in motorcycle crash

A 42-year-old Alliston man is in a Toronto hospital with life
threatening injuries, after crashing his motorcycle on the Hwy 400
southbound ramp from Mapleview Dr last night just after 7 pm.
"At approximately 7:12 p.m., on Tuesday April 8, 2014, officers
responded to a single motor vehicle collision where a Honda motorcycle
for unknown reason left the roadway and travelled down the embankment
into the ditch," according to OPP.
The male driver was transported to RVH in Barrie and later transferred
by air ambulance to Toronto with life threatening injuries. Police did
not release his name. And at this post, no update on his condition was
"The collision remains under investigation with the assistance of the
OPP Traffic Support Unit. Witnesses are encouraged to contact the
Aurora OPP Detachment."
