New Alliston Union School expected to open at '135 per cent

The Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB) is projecting 672
students will attend Alliston Union Public School when the new building
opens in September, which is 165 more than its intended capacity of 507.
"Over the long term, enrolment is
expected to continue to increase due to new development in the
area," according to John Dance, the Board's Superintendent of Facility
Services in his report to the Building and Facilities Standing
