Pin's and Q's sold to Collingwood based buyer

Posted January 24, 2012

A numbered company, 1853018 Ontario Ltd, with an address of 115 First St. Collingwood is believed to have purchased the Pin's and Q's Alliston Bowl in a deal that closed yesterday. Reportedly the selling price was about $699,000.

It's believed the person behind the purchase is John Frantzen whose name comes up in searches with that address. Emails associated with Mr. Frantzen were not returned at this post, and could not be confirmed. Further searches link Mr. Frantzen to real estate investments.

The sale, which closed almost immediately upon the transaction agreement, ended with the closure of the 5-pin bowling business, which had been open under various owners for several decades in Alliston.

The business had been listed for sale for the past year or so as a turn-key operation, but no takers. Bowling leagues were given short notice of the pending closure, and some have made arrangements to move to Base Borden.

At this post, no further details could be confirmed.<
