Coke details released, financials confidential

Posted February 7, 2014

The five year renewal contract for exclusive supply of beverage sales at New Tecumseth public facilities includes a provision to increase the supply price by 3.5 per cent per year effective Feb. 28 during the terms of the agreement.

Coca Cola Refreshments Canada Company, which was the only bidder upon renewal in January, is the exclusive supplier of products and equipment for vending and concession services at facilities including NTRC, arenas in Alliston, Beeton, and Tottenham, Conservation Area, administration buildings, Rotary Pool, PPG Park, and confirmed, Mel Mitchell Field in Beeton. Previously, through a confidential deal, Ward 6 councillor Richard Norcross had been granted the contract to service all the vending machines including those at the NTRC which are in his contract.

The renewal will turn that chore back back to New Tecumseth's parks and recreation department, which has agreed to look after all vending machine operations exclusive of the NTRC and concession booths in Beeton and Tottenham.

This agreement runs until Feb. 28, 2019 and provides an exclusive supply for non-alcoholic drinks including the sale, purchase and advertising of beverages manufactured, sold, or distributed by or for Coca Cola Refreshments. Financial terms of the deal are confidential.
