






Speed limits dropping in Cookstown, ThorntonPosted September 8, 2017Simcoe County is lowering the speed limits along two sections of Cty Rd 27. Driving speed in the area of Cookstown Central Public School will be reduced from 50 km/h to 40 km/h 640 metres north of Highway 89 to a point 300 metres northerly; and from 80 km/h to 50 km/h on 940 metres north of Highway 89 to a point 500 metres northerly. In Thornton, the speed limit will be reduced on Cty Rd 27 from 60 km/h to 50 km/h, 50 metres north of Thornton Avenue to a point 500 metres northerly.
