Hornets win two of three over weekend

The Alliston Hornets suffered their second loss of the season Thursday night on the road, dropping 4-3 in overtime to Schomberg.

The Cougars had jumped out to a 3-1 lead after one, before Alliston tied it after two. No scoring in the period send the game to an extra frame. Schomberg's Tyler Simmons ended the game at 3:12 of overtime.

Alliston bounced back Friday night, beating Stayner 6-1 at the NTRC. The Hornets carried a 4-0 lead into the third period, before the Siskins ended the shutout. Randy Cox led the way with three points. Tyler Brindle got the win in net.

On Sunday, the Hornets offense continued to click in Caledon Sunday night, taking that one on the road 9-0. (Box score was not available).
