Town announces intention to take-over, operate Hornet's Nest

New Tecumseth issued a press release this afternoon it's taking over the Hornet's Nest starting October 1, and will be open for business Thursdays through Sunday.

Regular hours will be Thursday and Friday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. (Hornets home games are Sundays and start at 6:30 pm).

The press release was vague on operating details - i.e. staffing etc. and at this post were still working to flesh out further information.

"The Hornet's Nest is available for bookings for private parties, banquets, meetings and other functions throughout the week and on nights when there are no scheduled Hornet's Games," according to the release.
