Stabbing victim's father remains in custody

A 44-year-old Alliston man remains in police custody following a brief court appearance yesterday when his bail hearing was adjourned until May 2.

Kamal Khanna, is charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault and assault with a weapon.

Details of this case are now restricted by a publication ban.

Ashana Khanna, a 14-year-old Gr. 8 student at Ernest Cumberland, is out of intensive care and breathing on her own in stable condition.
