Funding to hire immigrants, 'reverse discrimination'to the editor,

In regard to the story posted here last week about Simcoe County funding for hiring immigrants, I do agree with providing grants to local employers to hire local people, but it should be based on the best person for the position and not based on nationality, immigration practises or religion.
This is a real slap in the face to local unemployed people.
This is reverse discrimination and I hope local employers see it as such.
