OPP officers appreciate community well-wishes

to the editor,

Posted June 11, 2014

On Saturday, June 7, 2014, Officers of the Nottawasaga Detachment, Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), were involved with two Community events, "Bike Like the Best" in Alliston and the "Relay for Life", fundraising event also held in Alliston.

The Officers who attended these events have mentioned to me the overwhelming support shown by our citizens about the services we provide to keep them safe and being able to enjoy the community in which they live.

I wish to personally thank those members of the community that took the time to support our efforts and express their gratitude. Comments of this nature, while not often expressed, are sincerely appreciated and at the end of day build strong community relations.

Inspector Dirk Cockburn,
Detachment Commander,
Nottawasaga Detachment
