'You probably don't want to start this battle'to the editor,Posted October 19, 2012 As a resident of Adjala Tosorontio, living on Hwy 89 west (bought and paid for Boulevard named after the New Tecumseth councillors that dumped a four-lane highway on a residential neighbourhood), I would like to ask the current group of duly-elected, self-serving non-descripts, to please just butt out of the affairs of our municipality that you dumped on during the Harris years with your design-build-screw-it-up-and walk away Alliston by-pass. Perhaps your time would be better spent leasing a prime piece of commercial real estate to some other member of your illustrious group, then you could bail that member out of the contract with a taxpayer funded parachute. Then again, you could also agonize over a long period of time (for re-election purposes) and then finally bail out a White Elephant that serves an extremely small but vocal portion of the population of the town. What ever dirty little deals that have been struck with commercial developers in your little kingdom, you need to keep in mind, your dirty little deals, your kingdom, your bought and paid for bypass. You probably don't want to start this battle. Rob Dermott, |
