'I now formally request the resignation of the BAA board'
Posted August 28,

to the editor,
Unfortunately, we are well into the 2012/2013 hockey season and the BAA
has demonstrated the ability to deny the kids of Beeton an opportunity
to play hockey at the caliber they are best suited, and in a safe
environment.
I accept the fact (although I am mad as hell about this) that the BAA
has denied this opportunity for my son (unfortunately at a time that he
is in the prime of his minor hockey years) and countless others, however I am
hoping that this is the last time something like this happens again.
The BAA has indeed failed. It has failed the OMHA, it has failed the
Town of New Tecumseth, but most importantly the BAA has failed the kids
of Beeton.
Boards of companies that fail their shareholders must resign, as should
the BAA executive, all must resign. I have always said that without
decisive action and planning, minor hockey in this town will die a slow
and painful death. As we are living it now it is indeed both slow
and painful. I now formally request the resignation of the BAA board.
It is time to step aside and resign.
It is time to move forward, it is time to give the kids of Beeton an
opportunity versus denying opportunity, it is time to recognize things
have indeed changed since the BAA's heyday.
I did play my minor hockey in Beeton but it is time to embrace change
and build a bigger, better and united hockey organization with TNT.
