Interest on debt compounds the burden

to the editor,

In his letter to the editor, Jamie Smith tell us "All of the long term debt has been borrowed for capital assets which will last a long time. Common sense dictates that they should be paid for over time by those who are using them."

What's really silly is just servicing the interest on the borrowed money, that makes amortization period infinite.

Lucky for us infinity is a very long time as well.
