Renewing lease would make Town more moneyto the editor,
Posted September 25, 2012
How is the Town going to make more money running the Hornet's Nest as a banquet hall?
If they were to rent it out every Friday and Saturday of the
year for $600 a night, that's only $62,400.
How much of that would be new business and not just clients that would have rented the community hall at Alliston Memorial Arena?
Now factor in the money they are paying to get rid of Richard Norcross's lease, and more renovations and it looks to me like New Tecumseth would have made more money renewing his lease. Or is this just a way to make the old arena expendable?
