County playing same game with DCs as New Tecumseth

to the editor,
If it is not one it has to be the other, New Tecumseth or our
beloved Simcoe County.
After reading your story on the 2013 Simcoe County budget, it should be
an eye opener for everyone who believes that the road to their Valhalla
is paved with Development Charges.
"Unfinanced development charges reserve balance increase of
$7.7 million." That is just the "increase." What is the total amount
that has accumulated and is still unfinanced?
I bet it will be a cold day in Hell before our Town Treasurer
is permitted to divulge this item as it relates to our Town's finances.
Good question to be asked before our two representatives vote
on the budget Nov. 27, is how much of that unfinanced obligation is New
Tecumseth's share of this bill over and above our own accumulated D.C.
deficits?
