Local men named as victims in fatal accident near Angus

Huronia OPP released the names of the two people killed Friday afternoon on Cty Rd 10, between Angus and Brentwood.

Heinze S. Meixner, 63, of New Tecumseth, and Harold Meixner, 60, of Adjala Tosoronto, were pronounced dead at the scene on September 14th. Police did not include whether the two males were brothers.

The incident occured at approximately 5:30 pm.

"An OPP investigation with the assistance of Central Region Technical Traffic Collision Investigation unit revealed that a south bound BMW operated by a 60 year old male crossed into the northbound lanes for yet to be determined reasons and was struck on its passenger side by a north bound pick up truck operated by a 49 year old female from Clearview Twp," according to police.

A Post Mortem was scheduled to take place today at Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie. No other details were released.
