Town planner leaving postPosted March 3Senior management positions with the Corporation of the Town of New Tecumseth are becoming available at an accelerated pace of late. Stephen Naylor, manager of planning, tendered his notice last week that he'll be leaving to join the private sector planning consulting firm of Walker Nott Dragicevic Associates, beginning March 24. Mr. Naylor, who started with the Town of Alliston about 15 years ago, will work his last day, March 21. "It is a great move for me professionally and I am really looking forward to it," said Mr. Naylor, who commutes daily from his home in Guelph. "I will miss the people here." His departure from the management ranks is the third in about five months - two of their own accord. Rob McAuley, the former manager of building and development left in the fall to work for CN Watson and Associates. Tom Hodgson, manager of parks and recreation until a few weeks ago, was terminated for what can be termed a personality clash. Mr. Naylor's exit exasperates an overburdened planning department that was already seeking out a senior planner to help deal with the growing demands of the development community in New Tecumseth. |
