Nottawasaga Foundation golf tournament hits historic high

The 20th Annual Golf Tournament, Dinner and Auction Fundraiser hosted by the Nottawasaga Foundation on Friday, raised $451,000, besting last year's high of $325,000.

There were 700 people that took part in the events an 150 volunteers that helped pull it off. One of the differences this year that pushed the total into record territory were the number of Titanium sponsors - $15,000 - which were four in 2011 and 10 this year, courtesy of the builders involved with the Treetops development.

While the Nottawasaga Foundation supports many non-profit groups and cuases in south Simcoe, one of its new key commitments is a $459,000 pledge to fund a state-of-the-art urology program at Stevenson Memorial Hospital.
