County breaks ground

New local paramedic stations in the spotlight this afternoon

Simcoe County Warden Cal Patterson was in New Tecumseth this afternoon to take part in groundbreaking ceremonies for new paramedic stations in Alliston and Beeton.

Construction of the new 5,800-square-foot, five-bay Land Ambulance Station in Alliston will begin later this year at 7005 Industrial Parkway, at an estimated cost of about $2.1 million, including property purchase.

The new Beeton Land Ambulance station will be approximately 3,000 square feet, with two ambulance bays, and will be located on existing County property at 9 Patterson Street S. Estimated cost about $1.2 million.
