On April 27, the Alliston Hornets Jr. C Hockey club contacted
Nottawasaga OPP to report "an alleged fraud" perpetrated against the
organization.
The allegations involved a female member of the Hornets' board of
directors who was involved in the club's fundraising activities.
On June 5, the OPP completed the investigation.
A 41-year-old Alliston woman is charged with one count of Fraud over
$5,000 and one count of Theft Under $5,000. She is scheduled to make a
court appearance Aug. 9.
