Contractors have moved indoors to prepare the new SportChek outlet in
Alliston for a late October opening.
The Canadian Tire Corporation owned national sporting goods chain is
moving into the abandoned Zellers store property on Young Street, which
is in the process of being carved up into multiple retail units.
SportsChek will occupy about 14,000 sq. ft, and expects to hire about
45 "sport/active lifestyle advisors."
Anytime Fitness is also slated to open in one of the units later this
fall. KingSett Capital owns the plaza property.
