Posted July 25, 2012

An argument between siblings escalated into a 911 call to police after the 16-year-old's temper tantrum included shooting a bb/air gun inside their John W Taylor Ave. home and causing further damage to the interior before fleeing the scene.

Nottawasaga OPP were called to the residence at approximately 7:55 pm last night in regards to a family dispute.

"Police attended the address and spoke to both parents who stated that the 16-year -old had gotten into a verbal argument with his younger brother (10 yrs) pushed him hard enough to send him into the couch where he struck his head prior to having dinner that evening," according to OPP. "The 16-year-old is alleged to have shot the wall behind the 10 year-old and then continued to do mischief in the house then fled the scene prior to police arrival."

OPP located him at Riverdale Park but he evaded capture. At 10:37 pm, he turned himself into the Nottawasaga Detachment and was placed under arrest for Mischief Under $5,000 and Weapons Dangerous.
