Committee grants variances for Tim Hortons in Beeton

Posted January 29, 2018

New Tecumseth's Committee of Adjustment (CofA) approved two minor variance applications that will permit a Tim Hortons, with drive-thru at the south west corner of the Jackson Plaza property on Main Street in Beeton.

A Tim Hortons is a permitted use both in the official plan and zoning bylaw designations attached to the property.

The approved easement will "allow unfettered vehicular access between 5 Patterson St. N. and 50 Main Street E., including access into and egress through both properties, while the approved setback reductions - interior side yard setback from 12.5m to 8.78m and the required front yard setback from 12.5m to 10.5m - are to keep the sightlines at the intersection of Main and Patterson Street.

Tim Hortons is shown as 2,695 sq. ft with 40 seats indoors, and an outdoor patio. While it is a permitted use, a site plan agreement is still required.
