Seven vie for junior spots, Leblanc joins coaching staff

Posted June 19, 2014

It would seem that the 2013/14 TNT AA Major Midgets are continuing to have success as seven members of last season's OMHA semi- finalists have invitations to attend various Junior camps throughout the province.

They are:
Christian Petrozza - St. Thomas Stars. Jr. B
Doug Ross - Chatham Maroons. Jr. B
Thomas Foulds - Caledonia Corvairs. Ontario Junior B Champions
Kyler Matthew - Caledonia Corvairs.
Sean Caulfield - Caledonia Corvairs. Orangeville Flyers. Junior A.
Jake Biffis - Caledonia Corvairs.
Jake Price - Caledonia Corvairs. Kingston Voyageurs. Junior A.

"I am proud of what we accomplished as a team last year, but to see personal accomplishments such as these makes the process all the more worthwhile," said TNT coach Scott Hutchinson who returns as head coach for the upcoming season. "I know we won't see Ross and Petrozza back (overagers), and we won't know about the others until we get going. With the crop of 98's that are available for the 2014/15 Midgets, I am confident we can build on last years success."

David Leblanc, Captain of the 2013/14 Alliston Hornets will be joining Scott Hutchinson behind the bench this upcoming season.

"I mentioned it to Dave at the Hornet Rookie camp a few weeks ago and after a few days, he accepted," said Hutchinson about his new bench help. "Being an assistant coach with the Hornets last year gave me a chance to coach Dave. I can't say enough about his passion and commitment, not to mention, he is as fine a young man as you will ever meet. We are all excited to get going"
