Novice AA
The Scotiabank Novice AA sponsored by Ken Beattie Ltd. travelled to Stouffville on a blustery day in hopes of going up two games to none and take control of a long, hard series. It was clear from the onset that our phenoms were up to the challenge as they scored lots early and rode the wave back to shore with yet another shutout for the wall, 'Balls'

In the first it was all stars as Cole 'Shoots like a Cannon' Turcotte hammered one home. Assist to Wylie Birkett and Jacob Holmes. Next up again, 'Shoots'(for short, and you will soon see why) scored his second. Assists to Max Donohoe and Colin Ewing. 2-zip after one.

In the second it was Shoots' again with another hat collector as he tapped in his third to take the trick. Assists on this beauty from Mitchell Smilsky and Kyler MacNeil. Next up for some action was Wylie 'the Wizard' Birkett assisted on a crazy feed from Aaron McLeod-Smith and Donohoe. 4-0 after two.

Early in the third the boys capped off a great game on a bullet from Max 'MoJo' Donohoe assisted by Turcotte and Birkett. Great start. Good luck tomorrow. Make the final 5-0.

The next night was the capper to a tough home and home as the boys hosted the Clippers for game three of this race to eight. In the first period, the boats sailed faster than the winds were blowing as they came to play and took it to the home side. Shot after shot was taken on Andrew 'the Master' McGarrity as he was left to bar the door. Late in the first it was 2-0 Clippers, something these boys have not seen since Georgetown turkey weekend. How would they respond. Well it was not until late in the first on a great toe from 'the Master', that started the play on an end to ender. MacNeil to 'the Wizard' with 15 seconds on the clock to split the lead and take momentum. 2-1 down after one

In the second, 'Shoots' started to roll as he tied it up on a feed from Donohoe and Hayden Santo. Next shift 'Shoots' struck again on a pass from 'the Gibber' Justin Gibb and Holmes. 3-2 after two.

In the third it was all home steamrollers as they controlled the zone and cycled down low. With great pressure 'the Wizard' Birkett scored again on a feed from Turcotte and Donohoe. Then again, 'Cole 'Shoots like a Cannon' Turcotte had derby's drop as he avoided the treat! And grabbed the trick. Assists to Santo and McLeod-Smith. Not to be outdone on a great goal, 'MoJo' Donohoe capped off the night with the sixth unanswered to take a 6-2 win and a commanding three nothing series lead. Great jobs studs. Good luck Wednesday in Whitchurch!!

Minor Peewee AA
The TNT Minor Peewee AA sponsored by both R&A Beausaert and Jaida's Challenge faced off against the Markham Waxers for round one of the playoffs. The team pounded them in three straight games and kept them from scoring any goals.

Game 1 at home resulted in a 7-0 score. Jeremy Anderson scored assisted by Mason Coons. Caden Maher roofed on unassisted. Matthew Mitchell scored assisted by Brandon Smyth and Rhys Brown. Ben Coram scored assisted by Maher. Coram blasted in a rebound assisted by Christopher Thorne and Ben Beausaert. Anderson buried one assisted by Jordan Maiolino and Smyth. Anderson recorded the hat trick assisted by Darcy Tainsh. Chase Fairbarn recorded the shut out.

Game 2 on the road was a tough game and a 3-0 score.  Maiolino scored on a solo effort.  Anderson followed suit scoring as well. Beausaert assisted Anderson as he hit the empty netter. Curtis Latter recorded the shut out.

Game 3 at home resulted in a 7-0 final. Beausaert started things off assisted by Anderson. Brown scored assisted by Smyth and Thorne. Anderson banged in one assisted by Brown. Anderson again this time assisted by Mitchell and Brown. Once again Brown put one in assisted by Wade Cumberland and Thorne. Coons happily found the mesh assisted by Brown. Cumberland finished up the scoring and Markham assisted by Smyth and Brown. Fairbarn recorded the shut out.

Minor Peewee A
The Briway Carriers Minor Peewee A's finished the 2011 Year with a Winter Classic held at the Tottenham outdoor rink vs. their old foes Georgina Blaze from last year's AE loop. Both teams had fun with a 3 on 3 pond hockey game in a 9-9 tie and hot dogs and hot chocolate for all.

On Jan. 7th the Minor Peewee A's started the new year 2012 with a 6-0 blowout game vs the 1st place powerhouse Barrie Colts. Palmerio was in net for 4 goals against and Big Canoe allowed the other 2. This game represented the final regular season game with TNT finishing with a 4-20-6 record.

On Jan. 14th, TNT was awarded a Playoff Series vs. the Richmond Hill Stars to determine the Colts 1st Playoff opponent. The Stars and Tornados battled it out in Game #1 all the way through to Overtime as the Stars came out on top 4-3 at the Elvis Stojko Arena. Goals went to Russell, Drouin and Blanchard. Assists went to Brett, Real and Alexander. Big Canoe played an outstanding game in goal for TNT.

On Sun. Jan. 15th, the Stars again defeated the Tornados at the NTRC1 in OT 2-1 and took a stranglehold on the 3 out of 5 series. Brett got the lone marker for TNT and Palmerio took the loss.

On Wed. Jan. 18th, the Tornados went to the Tom Graham arena and were hoping to turn the series around. It wasn't meant to be as the team went down 1-0 in the 1st period and no score in the 2nd period. With the 3rd coming on, penalties took over the game as the Stars added 2 more markers and the Tornados didn't give up but just couldn't solve the Stars netminder who simply was unbeatable. Big Canoe was also spectacular and received praises from the Stars Head Coach. The team now moves over to the York Simcoes and impatiently awaits their next playoff opponent.
