Select Six's
The newly formed yet highly touted super six stars sponsored by Briway Carriers travelled to Newmarket for their first ever road game to take on the larger metropolis Redmen. What would happen? Would our young stars shine?

In the first it was all visitors as they skated circles around the highly talented team in white. First, but not last to strike was the big bad birthday boy, Cal 'Cannon Shot' Virtue-McCague on assists from Jake MacSween and Jacob English. Next up again was Virtue-McCague on a feed from English and Taylor Smith. Third to score in the last second of the first was Kallum 'Sniper' Southwood on assists from Max Gough and Ethan Frost to take a 3-1 lead into the second frame.

In the second, Newmarket answered with three of their own to take a 4-3 lead into the final frame.

In the third, Virtue-McCague finished his hattrick on his special day on passes from MacSween and Eryk Ostrowski to tie it up. Then late in the third, Newmarket went ahead but the 'Cannon' loaded up and took another shot which hit nothing but mesh to earn the stars a well earned tie that was made possible by some acrobatic saves from Gregory Prock. Assists on this one from English and Nate Holmes. Great job.

Next up for their first of thirteen was a trip to Stouffville to take on the game experienced Clippers.

Again our stars came out flying as they scored early and often to take a three nothing lead into the final frame. Goals scored were by Jacob 'juggernaut' Jackson with two on assists by Anthony MacDonald, Chloe Taylor, Meagan Houle and Blake Cubello followed by Jacob 'All-Star' English on feeds from Ryerson Harvey-Dick and Southwood. 3-0 after two.

In the third the Clippers showed what they have learned in all the games they have played and scored 4 unanswered on breakaway after breakaway. The score could have been worse than the 4-3 final if it was not for some courageous saves from our dynamic duo of Luca Moras and Prock. Great game stars. You improve every shift.
