Traffic stop leads to weapon, drugs, impaired charges
A Toronto man is facing several charges including "unauthorized
possession" of a weapon following a traffic stop by Nottawasaga OPP
Friday in Essa.
OPP reported this afternoon they were alerted to an erratic driver in a
pick-up truck on Aug. 9. He was located and stopped.
As a result, The male driver, 28, from Toronto was subsequently
arrested and charged with: Impaired Operation - alcohol and drugs;
Unauthorized possession of a weapon (OPP did not say what the weapon
was); Possession of a Schedule I Substance; Possession of a Schedule II
Substance; and Drive motor vehicle with open container of liquor.
His driver's licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle was
impounded for seven days.
