Tottenham schools being targetted by by vandals

Posted August 30, 2010

Nottawasaga OPP are investigating a fourth act of vandalism at a school building in Tottenham that occurred over the weekend.

The most recent incident reportedly took place Aug. 27 at Tottenham Public School that involved a rock thrown through one of the windows.

It's the latest incident of damage to a school in Tottenham since the first one on Aug. 13 that involved extensive damage inside and outside a portable. That was followed by a second occurrence, Aug.23 at St. Thomas Aquinas High School where two more windows were smashed.

F.X. O'Reilly Catholic School was also damaged that night with numerous windows smashed.

Police report that there was a witness who called police who "used available resources to investigate including the platoon members, the emergency response unit and the canine unit" according to the police report.
