Nottawasaga OPP continue to investigate a single vehicle collision
early Saturday morning that required air ambulance transportation for
an 18-year-old male from New Tecumseth, to a Toronto hospital, for
serious injuries.
Police report they were dispatched to the Adjala-Tecumseth Townline,
north of the 9th Line, at 3:03 am by another driver who came upon scene
and called emergency crews.
The victim, whose name was not released, was transported first to
Stevenson Memorial before being transferred to Toronto. No further
details were provided in the press release.
It's the second serious accident in that stretch of road in the past
month. The other was a single vehicle collision that killed all three
people in the car. Further updates on that accident have not been
released.
New Tecumseth has applied to the province for funding to help pay for
bridge and road repairs between the 9th and 11th Lines of the Townline.
