Teens facing charges after trespassing to recharge cell phone

Three youths face assault charges following a scuffle yesterday afternoon with an Alliston resident who had asked them to leave his property.

OPP report the incident occured about 3 pm Sunday after "a home owner on Nelson Street East noticed three youths on his front porch and they had plugged in a cell phone charger. The home owner asked the youths to leave his property and a physical confrontation ensued with the three youths."

The suspects were located and arrested.

Two of the males aged 14 and 16 years of age from Alliston, were charged with assault and mischief under the YCJA. A 15 year old male, also from Alliston, was charged with Assault Cause Bodily Harm and Mischief under $5,000 under the YCJA.
