


Adjala-Tosorontio posted largest 2024 assessment growth in Simcoe County, New Tecumseth near bottom

Adjala-Tosorontio's current value assessment (CVA) available for 2025 property taxation, increased 7.14 per cent or $190.6 Million to $2.8 billion in 2024, the highest of all 16 municipalities in Simcoe County by percentage. That was followed by Wasaga Beach whose total CVA grew 3.75 per cent.
New Tecumseth, was second lowest in growth at 0.58, or $46.1 million. it's smallest showing in many years, ahead only of Midland which grew 0.42 per cent or $9.7 million. Overall, Simcoe County's CVA grew an average of 2.13 per cent or $1.5 billion raising the total value of property to $73.1 billion. Of that, the County will levy $213.6 million in taxes a 2.22 per cent increase or $4.6 million more.
New Tecumseth ratepayers will be tapped for $23.3 million, up 0.62 per cent, over last year. That's third highest behind Bradford at $25.5 million, and Innisfil at $28.2 million.
