
Thieves target cannabis stores in Thornton, Angus

Nottawasaga OPP investigating two break and enters that occurred less than an hour apart at cannabis stores in Thornton and Angus early Saturday morning.
The first incident took place shortly before 3:30 am, on Nov. 15, at a business located at 239 Barrie Street in Thornton. Suspects forced entry through the front door and stole a quantity of cannabis products valued at $100.
The second break and enter occurred shortly after 4 am, at a business located at 173 Mill Street in Angus. Suspects again forced entry through the front entrance and stole various cannabis products valued at $10,000.
"Investigators believe the same suspects are responsible for both incidents. Surveillance footage shows a red Honda Civic (later model) with its front licence plate removed and rear windows tinted," according to OPP. "The vehicle was occupied by three suspects, all described as tall, medium build, wearing masks and dark clothing. One suspect was wearing bright blue track pants, and the suspects used a yellow crowbar to gain entry."
