Adjala male facing second degree murder charge in Colgan death

A 44-year-old male from Adjala-Tosorontio is facing a second degree murder charge in what Nottawasaga OPP deem was a suspicious death in Colgan. Police continue to appeal to the public for information.

On Saturday, November 15, at approximately 5:20 pm, officers responded to a call at a residence on Sparrow Way. One individual, a 41-year-old female, was found deceased.

​

On Tuesday, November 18, Ranjit Cheema, was arrested and charged.

​

The investigation remains ongoing and is being conducted by the Nottawasaga OPP Crime Unit under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch.

 

Investigators are urging anyone with further information, including video footage from the area around the time of the incident, to contact the Nottawasaga OPP.
