


OPP raid, close down unlicensed cannabis store in Alliston

Nottawasaga Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), Dufferin CSCU, general patrol officers and the OPP Crime Reduction Unit (CRU), executed a search warrant at 119 Victoria Street West, Alliston, last week, arresting two people and seizing more than $70,000 in cannabis related products.
In early summer 2025, the Nottawasaga CSCU initiated an investigation after receiving information that a cannabis store downtown was allegedly selling and distributing products without a valid licence.
On October 16, at approximately 11:40 a.m., police raided Mohawk Medical 420. A total of 27.4 lbs. of dried cannabis was seized, with an estimated value of $27,400. Officers also seized 102 units of cannabis butter valued at $2,500, and 68 units of cannabis oil with an estimated value of $2,590.
Additionally, hundreds of edible cannabis products were recovered, valued at approximately $22,587, along with hundreds of pre-rolled cannabis products worth $3,545. The seizure also included 1.2 kg of suspected hash, estimated at $12,300, numerous packs of THC vape products valued at $1,620, and multiple packs of shatter worth $1,165. The total estimated value of the seized items is $73,707.
A 45-year-old female of New Tecumseth was arrested and charged with the following:

Possessing cannabis for the purpose of selling

Possession of illicit cannabis
A 52-year-old male of New Tecumseth was arrested and charged with the following:

Possessing cannabis for the purpose of selling

Possession of illicit cannabis

Failure to Comply with Undertaking - Four counts.
Both are to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice at a later date.
