Next significant step will be long term debt financing.
There are currently 100 people working out of the new facilty on Albert/Tupper Street - formerly the Alliston Union Public School site - expected to climb to 140. Outdoor amenities include veterans' walkway tribute with the Legion, community minor baseball diamond, courtyard, and splashpad.
"(T)he project saw considerable delays related to several factors. These included supply chain and labour shortages during COVID, staffing changes at both the Town and the constructors, as well as disputes between the architect/consultant and the constructor that saw a large number of change orders. Many of the change orders were directly related to unknown below grade site conditions and issues related to the repurposing of the former school building structure."
