RVH Dr. to run monthly paediatric clinic at Stevenson Memorial

Posted February 12, 2025

A one-day a month, referral only paediatric clinic will begin seeing patients Feb. 25 in Stevenson Memorial Hospital's second floor outpatient department.

Dr. Jessica Gillam, a paediatrician from Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH), will operate the program. Families and individuals interested in utilizing the clinic must contact their family physician/primary care provider to obtain a referral.

The clinic will focus on general paediatric care and will not address acute illness, emergency care, behavioural or mental health needs, according to hospital's press release. General paediatric care includes patients with chronic illness, pain management, asthma, medical follow up and abnormal blood testing.

“This is an important service for our hospital and community," said Dr. Ihab Khalil, Chief of Paediatrics, SMH, "and I thank Dr. Gillam and the RVH Team for helping to bring this service to Stevenson."
