Car, truck crash claims life of Alliston man

A 51-year-old male from Alliston was killed yesterday afternoon following a collision with tractor trailer on Hwy 89.

 

Emergency crews were called to the scene at Hwy 89 and Cty Rd 56

shortly before 2:30 pm where a car and truck collided.

​

The driver of the passenger vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene. His name was not released. No other injuries were reported.

 

Hwy 89 between 6th Line and County Road 56 was closed for several hours while the OPP Technical Collision Investigators and Reconstructionist assisted with the investigation.
