Barrie man asleep in live lane, impaired charges in Essa

Nottawasaga OPP have charged a 42-year-old male from Barrie with impaired driving charges.

​

On Nov. 9, at approximately 2:30 am, OPP were alerted to a vehicle whose driver was reportedly asleep at the wheel while in a live lane of traffic on Cty Rd 27 in Essa.

 

He was arrested and charged with impaired and driving with liquor readily available, issued a 90-day license suspension, and the vehicle was impounded for seven days. 

 

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located in Bradford on November 28
