Sudden death under investigation in Alliston

Nottawasaga OPP remain on scene in downtown Alliston for a reported sudden death of a 38-year-old male.

Police said they were called at 12:51 pm to the area of Church and Victoria Street where it was "confirmed deceased at the scene and the investigation is ongoing and being overseen by the Criminal Investigation Branch in conjunction with the Nottawasaga Major Crime Unit."

At this post, OPP only reporting "there will be an increase in police presence within the area for the foreseeable future, please avoid the area as the investigation continues. Updates will be provided as necessary."
