



Thieves make off with $12k in tools from Home Hardware break-in

Nottawasaga OPP are investigating a break and enter robbery at Alliston Home Hardware early Sunday morning.
On October 19, shortly after 7 am, officers were called to the scene at 4840 Concession Road 7 in Adjala-Tosorontio. The suspects had already fled prior to police arrival.
"The preliminary investigation revealed that at approximately 6:50 am, a dark, newer-model GMC pickup truck bearing a stolen Ontario licence plate CD49729 entered the parking lot and stopped in front of the contractor door. One suspect exited the vehicle and attempted to open the door, followed shortly by a second suspect who arrived on foot," according to OPP.
"Suspect one broke the glass of the contractor door and forced entry through both the outer and inner doors. Both suspects entered the store, removed multiple boxes of tools worth approximately $12,000 and loaded them into the pickup truck before departing the scene at approximately 7:01 am."
Suspect 1: is described as tall, medium build, wearing dark clothing, gloves, shoes, and a hoodie with their face covered.
Suspect 2: is described as shorter, medium build, wearing lighter clothing including a sweater with a John Deere logo, gloves, a ball cap, and also had their face covered.
"Investigations are still ongoing, police are encouraging residents and businesses in the area to review their camera footage or dash cam for any suspicious activity that may be helpful in this investigation between 6:50 am.- 7:30 am, on Sunday October 19."
