OPP keeping mum on death investigation circumstances

Nottawasaga OPP are not yet releasing any details surrounding the death of a 38-year-old male on December 31 in downtown Alliston in an area between Church and Paris Street.

"Right now no, it's an ongoing investigation and we are currently in the beginning stages of it, when more information becomes available, we will release it but at this time all we can confirm is a 38-year-old was confirmed deceased at the scene and the Criminal Investigative Branch is overseeing the investigation in conjunction with the Nottawasaga Major Crime Unit," according to OPP. "At this time, out of respect for the family we will not be releasing details of the victim."
