
Simcoe Manor Village occupancy on pace for fall 2026

The $354 million multi-faceted construction of the Simcoe Manor, Village Centre and Supportive/Affordable Housing buildings remain on target to begin the first phase of occupancy in October 2026 with the Life Lease/Market Rental and Retirement Living building, Co-Housing, Garden and Town Homes following in 2027, according to the updated prepared for Simcoe County councillors.
Staged tender package issuance and awards are expected to conclude by the end of 2024. The final four large tender packages for Phase 1 of the project are Building Envelope, Architectural Fit-up, Landscaping, and the Maintenance Garage.
The County has commenced the waiting list for the various housing offerings, which currently containes 358 names.
"Staff are in the process of developing information brochures on campus as a whole and with specifics on the housing types for Supportive, Affordable, Life Lease/ Market Rental and Retirement Living. These materials will be ready for production and issuance in the near future," according to the report. "The County of Simcoe is working with seasoned fundraising consultant, Interkom to assist with raising $6.2M towards the cost of the Simcoe Village Campus. Interkom has completed the development of the collateral material for the fundraising campaign. We are working to finalize the fundraising plan and subsequent fundraising events. We anticipate the fundraising campaign to officially launch in the first quarter of 2025."
