Mother, child uninjured in Alliston fire

New Tecumseth emergency crews spent several hours yesterday afternoon fighting a house fire on Previn Court whose working alarms enabled a mother and her small child to evacuate without injuries.

 

Fire and OPP were called to the scene just before 1:30 p.m. arriving to find a large home visibly engulfed in smoke. The initial investigation showed the cause was unknown but started in a children's game room in the basement. It is not considrered suspicious and did not spread to nearby residences,

The roadway was re-opened at 6 pm. (OPP photos attached)
