
New Tecumseth, and Toronto suspects charged in drug trafficking investigation

Nottawasaga OPP and its Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), have concluded a drug trafficking investigation that began in the spring of 2026 with multiple arrests.
On July 10, officers conducted a traffic stop in Alliston involving a vehicle that had been rented using a fraudulent driver's licence.
Three individuals were arrested as a result of the stop. During the arrests, one individual was found to be in possession of a prohibited weapon, identified as a switchblade knife. A fourth individual connected to the investigation was subsequently arrested and charged.
As a result of the searches, officers seized:

21 grams of cocaine

2.8 grams of fentanyl

1.5 grams of methamphetamine

36 milligrams of hydromorphone (Dilaudid) in pills

Drug trafficking paraphernalia

Stolen mail
-
Multiple fraudulent identification cards

Stolen / fraudulent credit cards
A 24-year-old individual from Toronto has been charged with:

A 44-year-old individual from New Tecumseth has been charged with:

Possession of a firearm, prohibited weapon, restricted weapon, prohibited device or ammunition obtained by crime

One accused was held for a bail hearing, while the remaining three accused were released from custody and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Bradford at a future date.
