Impaired driver charged following two-car crash in Adjala

Nottawasaga OPP have charged a New Tecumseth man with impaired driving following a two-vehicle collision in Adjala-Tosorontio earlier this week.

 

On November 17,  shortly before 1:30 am, emergency crews were called to Cty Rd 50 for a two-car rear-end collision.

 

"Officers located the vehicles and spoke with the drivers. One passenger required extrication from a vehicle. One driver sustained minor injuries, while the passenger was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries,"according to OPP. "During the interaction, officers formed grounds that one driver's ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol, resulting in that driver's arrest."

A 35-year-old male from New Tecumseth was charged with:

• Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

• Operation causing bodily harm.
