Two-vehicle collision in Alliston ends with impaired driving charges

Nottawasaga OPP have charged a 24-year-old male from New Tecumseth with impaired driving following a two-vehicle collision in Alliston.

On December 6, shortly after 5:30 p.m., emergency crews were called to the scene on Highway 89 westbound, west of County Road 10.

 

"Both vehicles were blocking the right lane of traffic and that one driver was observed unconscious behind the wheel," according to police. "Officers arrived on scene and confirmed there were no injuries. During the investigation, officers observed signs of impairment from one driver."

 

The 24-year-old was charged with Operation while impaired - alcohol and Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).

 

The accused was released on an Undertaking and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bradford on January 8, 2026.
