Essa man found 'unconscious' in truck facing impaired charges

Nottawasaga OPP were alerted to a male who was passed out in his truck on a snowmobile trail yesterday afternoon.

​

The call came in shortly before 3:30 p.m., regarding a driver found unconscious behind the wheel of a pickup truck on an Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs (OFSC) trail.

 

"The incident raised concerns of possible impairment," according to OPP. "As a result of the investigation, officers arrested the driver for impaired operation."

A 44-year-old male from Essa Township, is charged with:

• Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

• Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs

• Driving while under suspension.
