Norcross enters Mayor's race in New Tecumseth

For the first time since the 2003 municipal elections in New Tecumseth, we have the incumbent deputy mayor running for mayor against the sitting incumbent.

In this case, Mayor Richard Norcross has signed on to seek his second term and at least at this writing, will be challenged by Deputy Mayor Stephanie MacLellan. Both are from Beeton and each served as Beeton ward councillors.

The previous time, then Mayor Larry Keogh was up against the late Deputy Mayor Keith Bishop. But a third party in the race, then former Alliston ward councillor Mike MacEachern, pulled off the upset and defeated both to win his first of three terms as Mayor.
