St. Thomas expansion to begin in July for September 2027 opening

Quad Pro Construction Inc. has been awarded a $13,365,000 contract for the expansion of St. Thomas Aquinas in Tottenham.

The project will add 12-classrooms and accommodate 276 pupils, and a second gymnasium.

Construction is scheduled to start in July and includes a requirement for the contractor to achieve substantial completion on or before August 26, 2027. Occupancy of the new building expected September 2027.

"The Site Plan Approval process is nearing completion," according to a report to Catholic board trustees. "The review by the Building Department is completed, however we must wait for Site Plan Approval before the full building permit can be issued. In the interim the Building Department has issued a conditional building permit to allow the construction of the school to commence."​​
